Battery hybrid patrol vessel “POA1 “, proofed to sail successfully. The vessel is equipped with a battery pack, which can be used exclusively electrically at 9 km/h for 2.5 hours. In addition, the vessel has two other energy modes to sail completely on diesel or hybrid. A unique system that ensures less fuel consumption and minimal CO2 emissions. With the construction of this ships, Port of Antwerp is re-shaping their harbour with sustainability and safety ambitions.

From next year the Antwerps Port Authority Officers will be patrolling from the water in these hybrid patrol vessel. Stay in touch for the launching of its twin sister “POA 2”
