Heatwave beaten by successful FAT in NL

EST-Floattech proudly awarded Viking River Cruises project.

EST-Floattech proudly awarded Viking River Cruises project.

Despite the very hot weather last week in the Netherlands, the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) was successfully completed at our facilities in Hoofddorp. A delegation of our customer Kadlec & Brödlin, Neptun Werft, Rostock and the third party inspection DNV-GL were attending the test.

Thanks to our local German sales team and diligent production team, the ESS with a capacity of 441kWh per ship, will be shipped to the shipyard Neptun Werft, Rostock for installation. Having German sales presence enables us to maintain efficient and short communication lines with our customers in Germany.

Our modular, light and efficient battery design perfectly fits the elegant Viking cruise ships with a length of 123m. The Viking ships features state of the art engineering,  customized hulls and engines specifically built to navigate the historic Seine River in France. Each ESS package secures backup power for the emergency generator power and the load capping for hotel loads.

Using our Green Orca ESS solution as a buffer allows operation of generators in their cost-efficient point making the overall operation cost and energy efficient ((lower mechanical stress and less fuel consumption).

We are proud to be the preferred supplier for Viking Cruise ships and we wish all future passengers of Viking Ships a safe and enjoyable cruise.
