EST-Floattech supplies batteries for crane vessel
EST-Floattech delivered the Lithium NMC battery pack for the new hybrid crane vessel “Invotis IX” This new vessel is in the final building phase at Shipyard Jooren.
Martin Jooren: (Shipyard Jooren):” This ship will operate in the Port of Rotterdam and can sail emission free or operate the electric crane for collecting shipping waste. In the project EST-Floattech collaborates with Visscher Ship Repair BV (gensets), Installatiebureau Oechies and Hybrid Ship Propulsion. The shipyard sea trials will be held this week and next week the official sea trials.”

Optimal safety
The energy storage system (ESS) delivered by EST-Floattech has a raft of integrated safety features. Its unique active balancing
and passive safety system is applied at the module and string level. Heat is dissipated by a simple off-the-shelf aircon unit. The battery racks are a favorable option as they can easily be installed in a modular fashion.
