As an Embedded Service Engineer, you help to achieve the further growth of EST-Floattech within the changing world of energy storage systems and their applications. In this position you will be alternately focussed on three main areas namely proposal engineering, project engineering and developing our energy storage systems for hybrid and full electric ships. As an international player, EST-Floattech is looking for an eager Embedded Service Engineer based in the Netherlands (Badhoevedorp).

What’s in a day’s work?

• You are part of our multidisciplinary and multicultural team of hardware, software and mechanical engineers.
• Developing code on embedded microcontrollers and embedded linux for our Battery Management System (BMS)
• Working on various sub-systems of the BMS
• Analysis and fix of software bugs
• Software verification, release and documentation
• If required, support of our commissioning technicians and second line support

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the field of electrical or software engineering (or similar).
• 2+ years experience in the field of embedded systems
• Hands-on experience with microcontrollers (e.g. PIC, AVR, ARM)
• Hands-on experience in C (C++ or, Python is a plus)
• Understanding of basic hardware schematics
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. GIT, SVN) is a plus
• English reading, writing and speaking. Dutch is a plus
