Responsibilities

The Project Manager is responsible for the development and delivery of automotive-grade Battery Management System (BMS) projects, ensuring that planning, execution, and governance meet the expectations of both customers and internal stakeholders. The role ensures that compliance activities are planned, integrated, and tracked with automotive standards including ISO 26262, ISO 21434, and ASPICE, while coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and external partners. The Project Manager ensures structured project execution, transparent communication, timely escalation, and the delivery of, audit-ready work products throughout the project lifecycle.

 

What’s in a days work

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of an automotive-grade BMS development project.
  • Ensure that compliance activities related to Automotive SPICE (ASPICE), Functional Safety (ISO 26262), and Cybersecurity (ISO 21434) are planned, integrated, and tracked within the project.
  • Coordinate a multidisciplinary engineering team to align on scope, priorities, and deliverables.
  • Manage suppliers and partners, including functional safety and cybersecurity contributors, ensuring timely and high-quality outputs.
  • Prepare and lead formal project reviews (e.g., SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR, Safety/Cyber Reviews) and ensure completeness and readiness of deliverables.
  • Maintain and control project schedules, milestones, dependencies, and resource plans; proactively escalate deviations together with the project coordinator.
  • Ensure that ASPICE-related supporting processes (e.g., configuration management, change management, risk management, quality assurance, and process management) are applied and that required deliverables are available.

 

What we require from you

  • Engineering background (e.g., Electrical, Automotive, Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering) with a solid understanding of embedded systems (e.g., BMS, ADAS) and product development.
  • Strong understanding of automotive development processes, including ASPICE, ISO 26262 Functional Safety, and ISO 21434 Cybersecurity.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with a structured, methodical, and quality-driven approach to execution.
  • Effective stakeholder management, including coordination with suppliers, customers, and internal leadership.
  • High level of ownership and accountability for scope, timelines, quality, and compliance.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal; Dutch is a plus.
